I just came across something the lovely (but like me, quite absent)

This is so true. I try to go to bed early to be fresh as a daisy the next morning, but to no avail. It seems the more I sleep at night, the more tired I am the next morning. And if I try to do what feels wrong, which is going to bed late, the same thing happens. So what the heck should I do, then? Argh. I think I am doomed to be tired always. This could explain why I am possibly the laziest person in the history of the world.
I miss the "old LJ days" with loads of comments and teasing. It seems the whole thing has fizzled out a bit? I'm not even a paid member anymore, and I only have about six userpics. I don't blog much in Norwegian, either, but maybe that will change when the awesome nettdagbok.no is back up on its feet.
Funny: I kept hearing my mobile ringing in the bedroom just now. Or rather, I thought I did. I couldn't understand why the ringtone kept going for so long, it usually breaks off after 20 seconds. It was weird. I went in to fetch the phone, but it turns out it was the bf's pc headphones very loudly ringing out Take That's "Patience" (which is one of my favourite songs at the moment and also my ringtone). I was delighted that he was listening to this song, but he very quickly skipped to the next track when I alerted him to what he was listening to, and how lovely I thought it was that my current boyfriend was listening to my old boyfriends (hee hee).
I also just noticed that my mobile is right here on the table next to me, and not in the bedroom... I guess this isn't my most attentive day.
I went (a little bit) amok at Amazon and ordered two seasons of The Nanny and the first season of Fame, the TV series. Yes, scold me all you want, I'm not ashamed of my unbridled love for The Nanny. It is one of the coziest shows I know. I threw in Fame because it was so cheap (£10, and the British pound is surprisingly low at the moment). It was really fun seeing it again, but some of the acting is just so bad! The songs are also kind of embarrassing, and there's always some cheesy dance routine included in each episode. Fun fact: Erica Gimpel, who plays Coco, also played Veronica's best friend's mother (I can't remember the name of her friend right now) on Veronica Mars! I thought she looked familiar, yes.
In other news, I have wrist pains. I have had them for weeks now. I wonder if I should see a doctor? It's such a hassle. Particularly because it takes weeks and weeks to get an appointment, and when you get there you feel like a total hypochondriac, almost no matter what. I disapprove of fastlegeordningen!
But hey: Peppes for dinner. That's good news!
Wow, I've written a lot. It's a very random and unedited entry, but better than nothing, I reckon.
Next week we are going to Valencia! We are such jetsetters. Knowing myself, I probably won't LJ again until after the trip, so hasta la vista, babies!

Whoops, would you look at that? My account is back to regular. It's okay, seeing as I'm not really posting at all at the moment. The reason for that is, well, either I have too much to say or too little to say. In both cases, posting is not tempting.
I guess things are just kind of regular at the moment, too. I like regular. I'm being made "super user" of the computer system at work after a guy who is leaving, and I can just feel the flood of requests and complaints that are going to be washing over me the moment I return from the three-day course I am currently attending. Hopefully, there'll be a pay rise in it, also.
Regular life or not, there's nothing quite like a package from CDON arriving in the mail! Yesterday, a whole heap of DVDs arrived, including Rome season 2 (for the bf), and a luscious mix for myself: The Devil Wears Prada, Catch Me If You Can, Brazil, a delicious 3-movie-set of Mean Girls, Clueless and Save the Last Dance, and last but not least, my heart's desire: SEASON ONE OF SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH. I just watched the whole first disc - am blissful now. IloveitsomuchIcantevenexplainitIreallyre allyreallycantandshutupifyoudontlikeitit smythingletitgo.
I guess I only really wanted to post to talk about my movie purchases. O GOD HOW SAD. No, I'm fine with it, really.
Tags??! What are those again, now? Must to try remember some of them...

The slack-jawed yokel.
Joyous indeed, but I am too timid to sing out loud at work. Especially because very few would get the reference. If any.
Facebook. I need to stop going crazy on it, it's getting insane.
Going to IKEA today, dreading it like heck. Have to buy a TV stand that can hold both the TV and the stereo set, because there's no room for the stereo in the bookshelf, and we need to have it up and going by Saturday, when we're finally throwing our housewarming party. Dreading this too, because this means I need to clean and tidy so people won't realise what a disgusting slob I am. Well, toodles!

I'll probably get scolded for this, but I am so looking forward to watching Brit Awards tonight, because Take That actually won an award! I used to be soinlove with Take That. This lasted from the age of 12 to cirka 15 and there was no doubt; it was true love. I was in love with each one in turn, starting with Mark in December 1993, then flicking through Robbie-Howard-Gary over the summer and autumn of 1994, and after that it was ALL JASON. Hee. (I'm pretty sure he's gay, though - no one that beautiful is straight)
I must admit I was embarrassed to hear they were doing a comeback album and tour (!!!), it just seemed completely unnecessary and out of the blue, but I do feel proud of my boys now that they've actually won an award, ten years after their success. Squee? Squee.
I haven't even heard their single "Patience" in its full length, but I did catch a whiff of it from a co-worker's radio today. It sounds pretty. I still like Gary's falsetto. Almost squee again.
Please don't kill me or take me off your flist, kay?

Christina Ricci was on Grey's Anatomy!!!!!! *faints*
( Pic! )
(The rest of the episode was pretty bad, though)
Also, I've dressed my Firefox up in a Christmas theme. I know it's too early for Christmas stuff (although every shop in the area seems to have a different opinion), but I didn't even know you could put different themes on. Of course, I got all excited and immediately changed the theme.

I think I'm on my lowest self-esteem ever. I have this feeling that everybody hates me. Maybe not so strange, since I pretty much hate everybody. I guess I only deserve what's coming to me. I've become more and more convinced I'm a misanthrope, as the signs are showing themselves clearer and clearer. Oh well. Maybe it's just my period coming. Anywho, Leela is very me in this icon.
I've become obsessed with Wikipedia lately, which is fun. It's just one of my favourite pages ever. Right now I'm reading about paranormal phenomena and such. I always find that stuff fascinating. I should go back to that ghost apparition gallery I used to look at. What's the address to that again? Oh, yeah: Ghoststudy.com. It's good, but it always freaks me out.
And I love Little Britain! "Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust. Anybody? No? Dust."

I got my ears pierced today! It was a combination of a long-time plan and a spur of the moment thing. I have sort of been planning it for years, especially for the last couple of months, but it's always been that "Oh, I'll do it some other time" thing happening. But today I suddenly called a salon called Face It! to make an appointment. Very fitting name, no? I was very scared when I got there, but the girl was nice, and the whole thing only took about three minutes. It hurt for about a second, then my earlobe went sort of nice and warm. I now have my official diamanté beginner studs on. Yay! Am now officially a girly girl. I hope so, anyway. I'll try to post a pic soon, even though I guess it's really not that interesting to look at, hah hah.
Now I'm going to watch the first 15 minutes of a documentary about eighty year old children, then I'm switching to Grey's Anatomy! My favourite is Dr. Stevens. No, not Izzie. Dr. Stevens.
And, I just noticed that House will be starting on TV4 soon!! ETA, Sept 7: House will also start on NRK2 this autumn! Wow!!
PS: New pretty icon! For some reason I suddenly have 108 slots for userpics instead of the "usual" 106. 108, waaaaah! It's aaaaaaall about LOST!

I didn't realise that Leisha Hailey, who plays Alice on The L Word...

...was/is in The Murmurs, who made that grrrrreat song "You Suck" about ten years ago!

Muy amusing. Of course it's her, I remember her vividly from that video. I just never would have thought about it if I hadn't accidentally read about it.
Like when I read that Courteney Cox was the teenage girl Bruce Springsteen danced with in the video for "Dancing in the Dark". I never, ever would have realised it, but I immediately recognised her in my head when I read it.

It's hot like a bastard. I'm literally sweating like a pig. It's not so bad in the apartment during the afternoon and evening, because our windows face east. But in the morning - phew! At least that makes it slightly easier to get out of bed. It's so damn warm in the bedroom in the morning, it feels like the window isn't even open. I'm just lying there, marinating myself and the duvet in my own sweat. Oh well!
Who's winning in the WC semi final today? I don't know who I'm rooting for, but it would be nice if Germany advanced, since they're hosting it and all.
By the way, I'm still coughing. Cough, cough, cough, atschoo. Work has been okay because it's very quiet, but I haven't been feeling very good at all. Aye me.
PS: Happy 4th of July, Americans!

I'm suddenly noticing my tendency to update LJ on Sundays.
On Friday, we went to see chanteuse and enchantress Marit Larsen play a gig at Musikkflekken, which is a small local venue. It was great! I'm really glad we went. She's really talented, humble and cute. It seems she's released her second single off Under The Surface; the title track. I was hoping for Only a Fool (link opens stream thingy), because it's such a kick-ass tune. It went down really well at the concert, too. Plus, we made the last bus home! Such a highlight for an old lady like myself.
Also, here's my ranking of this week's Idol round:
1. Marita - Fever
2. Aleksander - Spiderman
3. Vivian - Big Spender
4. Wisnu - Sway
5. Jonas - You'll Never Walk Alone
Sad to see Wisnu go. Jonas was awful, but people love him so much. I used to love him too, but I've kind of lost my enthusiasm for him lately. The only one who's really great is Aleksander. Fortunately, Marita was wonderful this time, but I'm worried we'll lose her next time, because people are so head over heels in love with the other three. I wish they wouldn't put that stupid chat on the Idol rerun, because those messages are unbelievably annoying. People are morons.

The latter one always makes me cry, I know it's silly. I just watched it last night, and on came the waterworks, as usual.

I realised why I like Oda (on Norwegian Idol). At least I think this is why. Look:

She reminds me of Claire! And Claire is actually one of my least favourite characters on LOST, but she's cute as a button. I know the similarity isn't too obvious from these pictures, but they definitely remind me of each other.
Dang, I was going to write more, but I have to watch LOST now.

This little nugget never fails to make me laugh. I quote it all the frickin' time.
Homer and Bart are at the post office, trying to retrieve a letter Bart has mailed to Mr. Burns, which is very rude and sure to get Homer in a lot of trouble:
Homer (affected, posh voice): "Hello. My name is Mr. Burns. I believe you have a letter for me."
Post office worker: "Okay, Mr. Burns, what's your first name?"
Homer (long pause; still affected, posh voice): "...I don't know."
Ah, classic.
Also, from Futurama, quoted from memory:
Leela: "The whale ate my suit!"
Whale biologist (off camera): "The suit was ugly. Whale biologist!"
I know there are people out there who appreciate this magnificent nonsense.

I think I just saw the winner of ANTM5, on the internet...and I've only seen two episodes so far on TV3, so it will be a long time to know who the winner is. When the first season was shown here, I happened to see that Adrianne would win, but that was only a short while before the winner was revealed over here, so it wasn't so bad. Argh, this sucks. Stupid me. I wasn't even going to look at D-Listed, because I thought the chance of the winner's picture being posted there would be enormous, but I just didn't manage to stay away!
