I'm so bad at posting at the moment, but here's a superfun meme I found over at
deliberate131's!
1) Answer the questions below
2) Take each answer and type it into Photobucket.com or Flickr.com
3) Take a picture from the results and post.
You can't copy the persons answers who posted this before you!

And goodbye for another few weeks, I suppose.

List seven songs you are into right now, no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
1. Sparks - Waterproof
2. Sparks - In My Family
3. Sparks - The Rhythm Thief
4. The Legend of Zelda - Kakariko Village Theme (Nintendo Wii)
5. Brakes - What's In It For Me
6. Amy Winehouse - Rehab
7. Futurama - Whalers on the Moon
I want #7 as my ringtone, but haven't got around to fixing it yet.

...that I hope you will participate in. I did a similar one a while back, but now I thought of a slightly different variety. It involves movie screencaps! Who can resist?
It goes like this: I will post screencaps from ten movies I've seen recently. They don't have to be from movies I like, or hate, or movies that are brand new; just ten movies I've seen recently. I will post one cap from each movie, and you will guess which movies they're from. Fun, yesno? (I think these are relatively easy.)

Oh well, no matter. I just remembered I wanted to do that alcohol meme that I saw over at
deliberate131's several weeks ago, so I might as well do it now. I am currently placed in an incredibly awkward and uncomfortable position on the sofa, borrowing the bf's laptop, and enjoying the wireless net that YOURS TRULY installed! Veeery proud of self. I should do this meme now because my back is killing me and I don't have the sense to change my position.

We received the keys and the last info on the apartment yesterday. Said thank you and goodbye to the sellers and took our first measurements and stuff. The bathroom was nicer than I remembered - the kitchen was a little smaller than I remembered. Today, we are going to be moving all of the larger items with the help of the bf's mother, a colleague of hers and a delivery van. I am fluctuating between angsty and excited. We spent our last night in the old apartment last night - a place we only ended up living in for eleven months. I am, again, angsty yet excited to be a HOME OWNER.

Directions: Go to popculturemadness.com and find the Greatest Hits for the year you turned 18. Cleverly note that this is totally US-centric and play along only if you're okay with that. Select the first 50. Bold the ones you like. Strike out the ones you hate. Italicize the ones you are familiar with but neither like nor hate. Leave the ones you don't know as is.
( 1999... It feels like a million years ago )
Omg! "Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen"! Loved that, it was so touching. Seems I like a lot of the stuff on here... A lot of them really remind me of the summer of 99, which I remember as pretty awesome. Maybe it wasn't, but hey, what's important is how you remember it.
In other news, I have been in MSN virus hell today. For a while, I was curled up on the couch, feeling extremely low and nearly dying. Viruses suck!
Tomorrow is the big day of the big apartment takeover. I'm scared to death. I have bought boxes! At least it's a start. Also: Measuring tape, brown tape and a black marker! Give me support, people!

Sorry for that cheesy headline. I'm just excited because my Brakes album arrived in the mail today (not the latest one, though). I just remembered that two days had passed since I received the "we've sent your package" message from CDON, and I consequently ran outside in the freezing cold with only my veloury, summery trainers covering my naked feet. Brrrrr! It was snow-raining - you know, the kind of rain that isn't really rain, but really fast snow. The package was in the mailbox, huzzah! Along with the phone bill, not huzzah. The album consists of sixteen short songs, the shortest one being six seconds long. I'm very excited about the song "What's In It For Me", because it's such a total rocking bopping popping hopping song. Loves it!
But now I'm going to take a break from Brakes (witty) to do a music meme thingy that my friend Irene sent me:
( If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be? )

Wow. I kinda don't feel so good. I've been sick for a few days after coming back from Paris, but I've been getting better and there's only been throat trouble. However, now... I'm feeling dizzy and weird. I think it might be because of that second cup of coffee at my mother's house. When will I learn that my body can't really handle more than one cup a day? Also, I went for a dip in the sea again, for the second time this summer. Maybe that was a little premature, after being sick and all. We were out on my uncle's lovely boat again. I love that. The water was much warmer than last time - as you may or may not remember, I almost suffered from frostbite the last time I went. Today, however, it was lovely. I stayed in for a long time (partly because I couldn't for the life of me get back up on the ladder, but also because the water was nice). I'm going to the beach with a friend tomorrow - last day of my two weeks off from work. Boo, booooooooo. I dread work like crap - not because I hate my work or anything, just because having time off is so much nicer.
Toodles!

...and for no reason whatsoever, I would just like to tell you how much I love the Simpsons episode where Marge finds a Chanel suit in a discount store, and the one where she plays the part of Blanche DuBois in "Oh, Streetcar!". The latter one always makes me cry, I know it's silly. I just watched it last night, and on came the waterworks, as usual.

( First, the meme )
This has been the laziest day ever. I stayed in bed until about 3.30 in the afternoon. I rang for a pizza while still in bed, and we ate in front of a Simpsons dvd. Luckily, I didn't get particularly hungover from last night's beer and g&t consumption at Onkel Blaa. It was the annual kick-off party, which is a celebration of the start of the football season here in Norway. Our local team Stabæk have made it back up into the premiership after a season in the first division. Onkel Blaa is a football pub, so naturally it's always swarming with Stabæk supporters. I wore a Stabæk scarf - gotta support the team! *squints like David Puddy*
I also wore a new black and white tunic-like affair, and for once I went out in high heels, something I usually don't do, because my feet get so sore. But I had purchased some of those gel pads you can put in the front of your shoes, and they worked great! Yay. I even think I danced. I also talked to one of the bf's all-time heroes from Stabæk, and got him to sign an autograph on a napkin! It reads, "Dear Morten, Take good care of your lady. André Flem" (Yes, his last name is Flem. I suppose that's somewhat amusing in English...)
Before going out, we went bowling with some of the bf's family. For once, I didn't completely suck. I did, however, place last and second to last. It was disco bowling, though, which is always fun!
On Friday, I went out with a girlfriend for dinner and a movie. We saw Failure To Launch, with Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey. It SUCKED. Easily one of the top five worst movies I've ever seen. I gave it a 1 out of 10 at imdb.com. Don't see it unless you have absolutely no choice. I can't really imagine what kind of weird scenario that would be, but anyway. The rest of the evening was very pleasant, though.
Tonight I'm going to watch Charterfeber on TV and do nothing. Oh wait, laundry. Boo. I'm thirsty. Toodles.

4. Find photos of the first 10 artists/bands that come up (no repeats).
5. Have people guess who the artists/bands are.
6. Paste this in your journal and do it too, so I can have fun guessing as well!

I woke up at 8:30 on Saturday, and at 8:50 this morning. What reasonable times to be awake at the weekend! Very unlike me. Today I even got up at 9:30-ish, and cooked breakfast for myself and the bf. It's a very idyllic feeling on a sunny Sunday, I must say. And I mean a proper Sunday breakfast, with eggs, toast, tea, and around the table, not just sitting on the couch watching Futurama while inserting random foodstuffs into the face.
I think we're getting a second sofa today. I really, really want this second couch because our living-room doesn't really look like a living-room with just one couch. I'm just worried about the pains of transportation. The new sofa (which is actually quite old, I bought it almost five years ago) is currently sitting in my old basement den in my childhood home. Getting that sofa out of the muy narrow doorways of the basement, up the stairs, into the van, out of the van, down the steps to our current apartment, and finally into the apartment, is a process I'm dreading. But I'm really looking forward to actually having a second couch.
Also, the bf is getting a second fish tank. I hope this place will look like a decent home when the new furniture is in place, and not just like an icky place with furniture scattered aimlessly around. I truly fear living in an icky place with furniture scattered aimlessly around.
